Why are habits important?
Have you ever heard the saying that “Nothing changes, if nothing changes“? It’s been one of my life mantras for so long. Mainly because it helps me see that whatever I want to do in my life, I can, only if I am willing to make some changes. So if you too want to change your life, you need to start changing how you do things.
Because if you keep living your life exactly how you are living right now, nothing will really change. You will still have the same problems that you have always had and you’ll still be living a very similar life.
A few years back, I saw this too. I looked at my life and told myself that if I don’t make changes now, then 5-10 years down the line, I will still be struggling with my health, my finances and my relationships. I will have the same struggles.
And in that moment I knew I needed to make the changes. Because the thought of living the same life scared me.
But it’s not something to be sad about.
In fact, it’s a good thing. A good thing because it means that you are in control of your narrative and you can create the kind of life you desire. And to do so, you must start changing your approach towards things. And that’s where habits come in.
You can’t change your life overnight. I mean that happens only in the movies. But if you do want to make real life changes, then you must do so by adopting the right habits. And that’s why habits are so important. They allow you to make simple small changes to your life and when done for a long period of time, they help you completely transform your life.
If you want to get fitter, start by making it a habit to workout, or something as simple as drinking more water. If you want to be improve your relationships, make it a habit to invest in quality time with the people you love.

And that’s the good thing about habits. Whatever you want to change, habits can help you enforce that change in your life.
You may not see the changes on a day to day basis, but you will definitely be able to see the changes over a month or over a year. That’s why, in order to be successful in life and in order to create a life you love, you need to start with good habits.
